Latinas of Excellence in Technology and Business Awards

407.Latinas.jpg

The technology industry has a diversity problem. And for Latinas in technology, the problem is doubled: Demographic reports from major Silicon Valley companies show Hispanic employment averages in the single digits, while women make up far less than half of the workforce they were even less when it came to tech businesses.

Latinas of Excellence in Technology and Business first began in 2012.  It was organized by Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association, to honor Latinas in technology and business, while create awareness of this problem.   Latina Tech and Business Leaders continued to develop. These individuals represent the Georgia’s most influential and notable Latinas in IT and Business.

Past honorees included talk show host Cristina Saralegui, PBS news reporter Maria Hinojosa, and CNN Contributor Maria Cardona, Nina Vaca USHCC Foundation and 42nd Treasurer of the United States Ana Cabral  Our goal is to honor those unsung heroines who are bringing the Latina Name to a whole other level.

We encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity to connect and foster business relationships, while enjoying your experience during this event.

Latinas in Tech and Business Luncheon

I In celebration of the achievements and accomplishments of our nation's most  inspiring Latinas tech business women, TechLatino will hold our Latina Tech and Business Leaders Luncheon

This LISTA Annual Tech Leaders Series Luncheon is the region’s premier gathering for Latina tech professionals and businesswomen/me. Each year the LISTA honors the accomplishments of Latino/as in the tech business community.

In particular, this year the LISTA will create awareness and recognize the many contributions Latinas have made to drive our country’s economic recovery and prosperity.

Latina Entrepreneurs represent the fastest growing segment of small business owners, however in technology there is still a gap. Latinas represent nearly 600,000 businesses, generate close to $70 billion in sales and employ more than 500,000 people. LISTA recognizes the important role Latino/as Tech business women serve in our community and is proud to highlight their successes and impact in our region and overall business community.

This year’s LISTA’s Latinas Tech Leaders Luncheon will feature top Latinas tech Executives,  business  and  New  Media  thought leaders in Corporate America. With Latino/ass representing the largest and fastest  growing minority group in the U.S., and  with an estimated purchasing power  of  $1  trillion,  LISTA  members are   at   the   forefront   of   our   community's  contributions  in the  IT  sector.  As  leaders  in  the  field   of  Information Technology and business, they have demonstrated a proven track record of success in leading their respective companies, organizations and  communities  during  these  challenging economic times. It is through your unwavering commitment to excellence and corporate citizenship that  you have excelled  and are among a group of the most distinguished executives in this highly competitive sector.
